Pre-K Ceremony

Friday was the Pre-K ceremony at the Academy and all the kids were just absolutely precious.
Sammy was so proud that this year he finally got to wear the Pre-K Graduate sash and have his cap and gown pictures taken.  
The teachers have been working for weeks with the children on the ceremony and Sammy's teacher told me to be prepared for a tear jerker.  
The kids got up there and sang a song called, "The Worlds Greatest" and they also signed the song as they sang it.  The words were beautiful and I swear it was almost as if that song was made for Sammy.  Sammy was proud as he did the song and the signing and of course the tears started flowing.  I look over to see Joe with tears weld up in his eyes and my mother and mother in law were wiping their eyes too.  I think I even saw my dad wipe his a time or two.  It was absolutely beyond precious,  those kids worked so hard and they each did a fantastic job.
When it came time to accept their awards Sammy very proudly went up to accept his mathematics award, science award, handwriting award, reading award, preschool participation ribbon and his preschool diploma.  He looked so handsome marching across that stage to receive his awards.  Looking at him up there was so emotional for me because we have been on one hell of a journey with him and it was just so bittersweet for all of us.
